"Diabetes in Pregnancy - In-patient Management including Ante, Intra and Postpartum Periods. Updates on New Medications, Protocols and Research" by Tiffany Herrero, MD
Objectives:
• Review maternal and fetal morbidity associated with diabetes in pregnancy
• To highlight modern day challenges to treating diabetes in pregnancy
• To review management pearls in treating patients affect by diabetes and pregnancy
• Discuss new technology including CGM and how to integrate into practice

“The Patient with GDM, How to Influence Life-Long Behaviors Aimed at Diabetes Prevention” by Susan Carter, MS, RD, CDCES, BC-ADM
Objectives:
• Identify short-term maternal and fetal health risks of GDM
• Identify long-term maternal and fetal health risks of GDM
• Identify lifestyle interventions to reduce future health risks for mothers and offspring of moms with GDM
• Identify Diabetes Prevention Program key lifestyle recommendations
Accreditation: MCCPOP is approved as a provider of continuing education by the California Board of Registered Nurses, Provider # 3104. This course has been approved for up to 2.0 contact hours. Attendees must attend the webinar for at least 50 minutes to receive contact hour certification.
