"Neonatal Resuscitation and Beyond" by Audrey Moore, NNP-BC

Objectives:

1. Review the NRP algorithm and key areas to focus training on.

2. Identify abnormal findings in the delivery room and necessary interventions.

3. Identify quality improvement measures hospitals can take to improve team dynamics.

10:00 AM to 12:00 PM:

“Ice Ice Baby: Therapeutic Hypothermia for Neonatal Encephalopathy” by Christine Au, MSN, NNP-BC

Objectives: 1. Identify indications for therapeutic hypothermia for neonates.

2. Describe the pathophysiology of hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy.

3. Discuss the medical management of infants undergoing therapeutic hypothermia.

4. List factors that influence short and long term neuro developmental outcomes.

Accreditation:

MCCPOP is approved as a provider of continuing education by the California Board of Registered Nurses, Provider # 3104. This course has been approved for up to 4.0 contact hours.  Attendees must attend the webinar for at least 50 minutes to receive contact hour certification.
