Course Objectives:
At the conclusion of this workshop, the participants will be able to:
- Improve decision-making and critical thinking skills by utilizing standardized terminology, protocols and patient safety principles in EFM strip analysis.
- Review the relationship between maternal/fetal physiology and fetal heart rate patterns
- Discuss the medical/legal implications of EFM through case review to reduce errors, improve outcomes and ultimately decrease liability.
- Review the importance of excellent communication and teamwork to improve outcomes.
